This VIZIO 55 class 4K UHD led smart cast smart TV V series has a beautiful crisp picture. It is compatible with many different media outlets from your old VCR to Google Home. The sound is great and the main menu gives many options on adjusting the sound to suit your needs. The Smart cast menu offers many free channels and gives access to all of the paid streaming services. I really can't think of what else anyone would need from a TV. This Vizio 55" Smart TV is absolutely amazing for the price! It is 4K Ultra HD which makes a huge difference on the sharpness and the sound quality is actually much better than I expected. It is incredible how much the 55" size makes a difference in everyone's enjoyment of the programs we watch! Visio has something called SmartCast that enables quick access to many common services like Roku, Netflix, Disney+, and it also has AirPlay and Chromcast built in. Because services like these are integrated, setting it up was a breeze and there was no need to attach accessories like a Roku stick, saving a little money. Like many electronics, there is a Quick Start Guide and no user manual so prepare to access that online if needed, however the most challenging thing was figuring out how to remove the cover on the remote to install the batteries. It was otherwise that easy! Our TV is placed on a 52" width cabinet and it fits perfectly. I was impressed with mostly everything about this TV especially considering the price point, however one suggested improvement is that the legs should be more robust. I am sure they are designed adequately to hold the TV's weight, however when we set the TV down we noticed it can sway a bit. No safety strap is included to attach it to a cabinet or wall so make sure you are prepared to buy and install one for safety unless you are using a wall mount. Everyone in our family loves the picture quality, easy access to their programs via the integrated features, and especially the 55" size which comes at an awesome price! Great job Vizio! This Vizio V-Series 55" T.V. is beautiful and loaded with so many features! Firstly, it came wrapped very well, was extremely protected and was not damaged in any way. It was easy to assemble as there are feet (2) to the bottom of the T.V. that need to be screwed on (which came with the hardware - 4 screws) super easy. It was surprisingly lighter than I had expected but extremely well made and sturdy. It also comes with a remote control that needs to be paired, easy as 123. The picture quality is amazing! It is not too light, not too shaded, just right. The fluidity of the refresh rate was smooth. This also being a smart T.V. gives you so many options for all your apps, you can even customize if you need. You can cast from your phone and even use a USB if you wanted too. This smart television is a cord cutters dream come true! Even if you do not subscribe to streaming services, this tv has tons of movies and shows to watch for free. It is jam packed with apps for the entire family. These apps have every category imaginable for me to watch. From my favorite crime shows, live news channels, cooking shows, workout videos, sitcoms, etc. If you can imagine it, it is there. I played with this for over an hour and probably didn't even get through a small fraction of the items on this TV set. It has free channels such as Tubi, YouTube, Peacock, Pluto Tv, Newsy, PBS Kids, KidDoodle TV, Crackle, FaceBook Watch, The CW and so much more. Vizio also has its own app called Vizio Watch where I can stream tons of channels absolutely FREE! I can watch shows like America's Test Kitchen, The Craftistry Channel, Deal or No Deal, PeopleTV, Cheddar News and more. The possibility are endless. This tv also has apps for premium streaming services like AppleTv, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Paramount, etc. My favorite feature is that it is enabled with Amazon Alexa. I have the ability to control my tv with my voice using the remote or my Alexa device. It also uses Google Assistant and Apple AirPlay & HomeKit. This tv lets me customize my screen and rearrange my favorite apps. I can stream from my phone or tablet to watch it on the big screen. I have a few Oculus 2 VR headsets and I can cast my gameplay from my headset to the tv through the built in Chromecast so others can set what I am seeing. This SmartTv has tons of audio and display settings so I can have to perfect viewing experience no matter what I am watching. There are also video tutorials showing how to set it up and use all of the features to get the most enjoyment out of this tv. Honestly, I don't know of anything this tv can not do. I'm amazed with our new TV. We have never had a smart TV. We're very impressed with it. The picture jumps out at you and has a great picture. Picture is crisp, clear and amazingly vivid. Impressive package of the latest features offered in televisions.Highly recommend sound bar with this tv any tv over 40-inch needs audio enhancement. We didn't have sound bar but will purchase one for this size. Does have built in features to adjust audio without soundbar, adequate.Shipping and delivery were satisfactory. Notification for delivery was updated every 6-8 hours prior to delivery. TV was packaged extremely well. Front of box had sizable dent in cardboard, yet inside was unaffected.Paper instructions for hook-up, plug- in were simple and easy to follow. USB ports were well marked. Bonus point: having bright colored, designated sound bar port was a nice feature.Once TV is turned on, the prompts give step by step instructions for total setup. Took total of 20-30 minutes to complete these steps (that's with a 4yr old running around)TV remote is quick to respond. Speaking feature on remote is an added plus. Vizio is a brand name of TV's that is now recognizable for its overall quality of picture and features.Only negative was a strong smell of plastic on unpackaged tv. Good size at 55 inches and easy set up, it walks you through everything.It has tons of free show, movies, etc and apps. It also has it's own freeTv app that has tons of stuff too. Really easy to navigate anywhere within the tv and all the options it has. Remote control is sleek and very easyto use. I love the voice search. It's so easy. I like that at top of remoteit has Tubi, crackle, Netflix and 3 others, but wish one was programmableto the app I use most instead of what they preselected. The tv is reallyvery nice and has vivid, clean and beautiful color on all pictures. Volumeis good but muted do to speakers being in the back of tv instead ofon sides or front, because it's mounted on my wall the volume isn'tas loud as it could be if speakers were in front. I'm super happy withVizio smart tv. Love that it also has time and internet connection on screen. I have another Vizio 32" TV and as with this 55", I do ultimately like the TV. It has good TV quality and color. As with my other TV, I still think the sound could be better. I would need to purchase another soundbar or entertainment system. I feel all the New TV's out in the last years lack in sound quality vs an old school TV so for that reason I did not take out any stars. I'll be looking into getting another TV stand as well since the one I have does not support the size and weight of the 55". Like sitting on the front row at the movies. 11 Apr 21
This is not a TV, it is an experience. I have another major brand that is two years old and the difference in the picture quality and features from it to this TV is no less than amazing. We don't have reliable internet in our rural area so I can't use the smart cast or other features. I connect it to DIRECTV and the features are fantastic. The colors and detail are unbelievable. It is not easy to connect and program but once it is up and going it is worth the effort. The sound could be better, I have it connected to a sound bar so that is not a problem. I use closed captioning most of the time and due to the size of the viewing area the captioning is not so distracting to other viewers. I would also like to see several more USB and HDML outlets but that is not a game changer. Amazing TV 20 Apr 21
I enclosed my car port and it is now my man cave. I had a 40" TV on the wall but it was too small. This one is much better and has some amazing features, many of which I haven't even used yet. I needed to connect to a karaoke system and this TV has RCA audio out connectors which is a big plus. I dropped my cable a while ago so I depend a lot on internet streaming and this TV is set up very well for that, it has everything. I had a Fire Stick on my old TV that I had planned on using but it looks like I won't even need it. The remote is really nice, it has the maximum features using the minimum buttons. This is the first 4k TV I have ever owned and wow, what a difference!! The 4k streaming is incredible. The colors are super vibrant and it really feels like you are in the show. I was in complete awe watching a nature show. The rest of the TV is just as impressive. The box has simple instructions on it for set up and installation plus there are instructions inside. Setting up was a breeze. The home page has all the most popular apps already pre-installed and all you have to do is log in. Connecting to wifi was quick and easy as well. My home wifi immediately popped up on the scan list and I was connected in less than a minute. The connection was fast! The voice remote is an added bonus and actually understands what you are asking for. The remote also has quick access buttons to apps as well. The sound quality is excellent and I can't wait to try out the gaming experience on this TV. All of the TVs in my house are Vizios but this is by far the best one. Whether you are upgrading or just looking for another TV, you will not disappointed in this one. The color, the sound, the extras, it's all amazing. I am extremely happy with this! This review will not feature all the intricacies of this TV but rather the mom perspective. If you are looking for an amazing TV that works great, has a ton of new features then this TV is for you. It is a great size perfect for any room. Super easy to set up. I was able to walk through the set up steps quickly and with ease. Nothing too complicated for set up which was super nice. The quality of the TV and what if offers is simply amazing. My previous TV wasn't that old (less than five years) but WOW the upgrade is so worth it! I love the build in apps such as Amazon, Netflix, Disney, Apple TV (that's correct no more separate Apple TV needed. So easy to pair with your Apple devices for screen mirroring. I mean so easy!), you tube, Peacock and so many more. Trust me it would take so much more time to explore all the apps. It is also very easy to change the input to our cable provider and use their services. Honestly with all the apps I may need to rethink cable! The screen image is fantastic and offers a clear picture. Remote is easy to use and can be used with voice commands. I highly recommend this TV! Excellent quality and great choice! This is a review for Vizio 55 inch smart tv, the size is great, picture looks great. This is a good tv for the price. I feel like the audio isn't too loud, I can be in volume 40 and feels like I'm in volume 30, but the quality of the audio isn't affected the sound is good. The picture quality is good just feel like it Was a bit on the darker side, like needs a bit of more vibrancy, and I know you could probably fix this on settings. The only thing that i noticed is that in vizio smart cast in only has some built in apps, and if your trying to add an app that isn't there you won't be able to, your going to have to cast it from your phone. It does have the main apps like Netflix, Disney plus, Hulu. But overall it is a nice tv. Great Quality 21 Feb 21
I was so happy when this arrived unbroken. I have had that issue in the past with big screen tvs. It did however not have a power cord. I was able to use our cord from TV that we had. The colors are Amazing! The sound quality is AwEsOmE! When the kids play their games its as of you are IN the game. Perfect for family room. At my age I have gone through a number of TV sets. One thing I will say is that going to shop and compare does not come close to seeing one in an actual business or home use. Everywhere I went I felt that Vizio had the far best picture clarity and sound. So when it came time, that's what I got. And I am so pleased! I took the attached pics with my phone. In reality, it's even more amazing. Setup was simple to follow on the screen.
